Protest 500 Days after Sunken Rig on the Adriatic Seabed in Zagreb - News Access (Croatian)
Greenpeace activists hold a protest in front of the oil and gas company INA’s headquarters in Zagreb, Croatia, emphasizing that 500 days have passed since the sinking of the Ivana D offshore gas platform. It is scandalous that the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development launched an investigation in January 2021, and 15 months later, the public still does not know why and how this incident happened.
Greenpeace used this opportunity to emphasize once again that fossil gas is not green, clean nor a transitional fuel, that the Government should ban the investments in new fossil infrastructure in the Adriatic and that all new investments need to focus on renewables, energy efficiency and storage solutions.
