Delivery of Emergency Aid to Indigenous Peoples Amazonas State, Brazil
Greenpeace Brazil delivers a two-ton cargo, holding 40 oxygen concentrators, 15 50-liter oxygen cylinders, air conditioning units for infirmaries and around one thousand cloth masks to São Gabriel da Cachoeira, a city in the Amazonas state which has been operating as a headquarters for distribution of supplies to the Alto Rio Negro region, home to 23 Indigenous Peoples and around 750 communities. This action is part of a solidarity network and it was possible due to a partnership with Expedicionários da Saúde (EDS) and the Federation of Indigenous Organizations of the Rio Negro (Federação das Organizações Indígenas do Rio Negro - Foirn, in Portuguese).
