According to the head of Rosprirodnadzor (Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service of Russia), 15 thousand tons of diesel fuel got into the rivers. According to Greenpeace's calculations, the environmental damage to water bodies in Taimyr may exceed 6 billion rubles.

29 мая на территории ТЭЦ-3 в Норильске произошла разгерметизация резервуара с дизельным топливом. По оценке главы Росприроднадзора, в реки попало 15 тысяч тонн дизельного топлива. По расчётам Гринпис, экологический ущерб только водным объектам на Таймыре может превышать 6 млрд рублей.
