Greenpeace Examines Soil and Water in German Flood Areas
Greenpeace campaigner Dirk Zimmermann collects samples at a field near by the waste disposal plant in Swisttal affected by the recent flooding. The Team collects and analyses water and soil samples for a second day in the area around Blessem, a heavily damaged district of Erftstadt. Greenpeace is active with a mobile laboratory container in the North Rhine-Westphalian disaster area. The samples are prepared on site and then handed over to certified laboratories for further analysis. Areas of interest are Children's playgrounds and sports fields, private gardens, fields and temporary waste disposal sites.
