Shipwrecks in Greenland
Ship wrecks in a small cove, photographed from the air, next to the fishing port of Ilulissat on Western Greenland. Greenpeace and an independent NASA-funded scientist completed measurements of melt lakes on the Greenland Ice Sheet that show its vulnerability to warming temperatures. The measurements are the last scheduled activity as the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise wraps up its two-month expedition to document the impacts of climate change on Greenland's ice sheet and glaciers.
