Armando Louis Fortes, President of the fishermen association of Salamansa, Sao Vincente island, Cape Verde. Armando comes from 3 generations of fishermen and lost his father to the sea. Armando has worked for decades as a fisherman included on European industrial vessels and has seen first hand the destruction caused by EU fleets to the marine environment. Over the years Armando has also witnessed the decline of fish stocks in Cape Verde and worries there will be no future for his son, who has also become a fisherman.
