Impacts on Coral Reefs
Dive site at Cape Jeda Gang near Koh Tao that shows impacts on the coral reef caused by the 1998 El Nino event. The Rainbow Warrior is touring Thailand to highlight the urgency of the climate change crisis and urge the Thai government to take action against global warming. Climate change is considered the greatest environmental threat facing the planet. It is caused primarily by the burning of fossil fuels such as coal and oil and can only be stopped if we begin the massive shift away from fossil fuels and towards renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power.
