Suku Anak Dalam Community In Jambi
(L-R) Portraits of Catok (35) and Mail (40). They belong to the Suku Anak Dalam community - 'people of the forest' - an indigenous community that was recently forcibly evicted by a palm oil company from its traditional lands in Bungku village, Batang Hari regency, Jambi province, Indonesia. On 11 December 2013 up to one thousand armed men including police officers, security and staff of PT Asiatic Persada destroyed homes across four hamlets claimed by the Suku Anak Dalam people and forced the communities to flee. PT Asiatic Persada is owned by the Ganda Group.
