Greenpeace activists protest at an outlet store close to the German Adidas headquarters in Herzogenaurach, holding banners reading "Adidas: Entgiftet Eure Schuhe (Detox your shoes)!" "Time to Detox," and painting their feet with the brand logo. Activists are protesting around the world, to remind Adidas of its environmental responsibility to clean up the production of World Cup 2014 merchandise. Adidas, the official sponsor of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, has introduced jerseys, gloves, shoes and other products that contain a variety of toxic and hazardous substances. 

Im Rahmen eines internationalen Protesttages gegen Adidas weisen Greenpeace Aktivisten vor einem Outlet Store in der Naehe der Zentrale in Herzogenaurach bei Fuerth auf die giftige Produktpolitik des Sportartikelherstellers hin. Auf dem Banner steht: "Time to Detox!" und "Adidas vergiftet Eure Schuhe." Die Aktivisten haben rot bemalte Fuesse und tragen Stulpen mit der Aufschrift: "Detox our shoes!". Eine Studie der Umweltschutzorganisation Greenpeace zeigt, dass sich in den WM-Kollektionen von Adidas gefaehrliche Chemikalien finden. Fast alle untersuchten Fußballschuhe, Shirts und Torwarthandschuhe waren mit Nonylphenolen (NPEs) und perfluorierten Chemikalien (PFCs) belastet.
