Gas Flare in Komi Republic
A gas flare is seen outside Khoryaga in NAO (Nenets Autonomous Region) in Russia. An international group of Greenpeace experts and volunteers together with partner organization Save the Pechora Committee is patrolling the region of Komi Republic to find and map numerous oil spills, clean up an oil-contaminated area, and collect case studies and experiences from the local population, bearing witness to the huge scale of the problem.
