Russian Oil Spill Patrol in Komi Republic
Greenpeace activists observe an oil spill discovered during an oil patrol outside Khoryaga in NAO (Nenets Autonomous Region) in Russia. An international group of Greenpeace experts and volunteers together with partner organization Save the Pechora Committee are patrolling the region of Komi Republic (Russia) to find and map numerous oil spills, clean up an oil-contaminated area, and collect case studies and experiences from the local population, bearing witness to the huge scale of the problem.
