Greenpeace Spain activists climb the summit of El Pájaro and unfurl a banner reading:"Salva el Artico (Save The Arctic)!" Among the activists is the handicapped climber Miguel Ángel Gavilán. As international polling reveals that 74 percent of people worldwide support the creation of a protected sanctuary in the international waters surrounding the North Pole, climbers and mountaineers are ascending iconic mountain peaks and buildings all over the world, to demand that governments respond to the global outcry to make the creation of a protected Arctic Sanctuary a top priority.
