‘Two Months of Injustice’ Global Day of Solidarity in San Francisco
Rainbow Warrior Captain Joel Stewart calls for the release of fellow Greenpeace Captain Peter Willcox and the rest of the Arctic 30 from prison in Russia on stage near the Rainbow Warrior before a concert by Portugal the Man.
At events across the world, thousands of people take part in a day of solidarity to mark two months since the Arctic 30 were detained following a peaceful protest against Arctic oil drilling. A Russian court has charged the Arctic 30 (twenty-eight Greenpeace International activists, as well as a freelance videographer and photographer) with both piracy and hooliganism.
