An alliance of several NGOs, including Greenpeace, deliver an open letter for the Swedish government at the Swedish embassy in Berlin. In the letter they demand an end of the brown coal exploitation by the Swedish state owned Vattenfall company in Germany (Brandenburg and Saxon-Anhalt, Welzow-Sued II). They erect an inflatable wheel representing a digging machine in large-scale mining operations (a bucket-wheel excavator).
