Protest for Climate Protection in front of Vattenfall CEO
Greenpeace activists from Germany and Sweden protest at opening ceremony of Vattenfall offshore wind park DanTysk. The event is attended by Vattenfall CEO Magnus Hall and Swedish Minister of Enterprise Mikael Damburg. Activists call for a switch to renewable energies in Lusatia. The activists criticize Vattenfall´s plan to sell the East German lignite division. A ship and activists display banners which show the destruction of the environment by lignite open-pit mining in Lusatia and read in English: "Keep the coal in the hole."
In German: "Kohle muss im Boden bleiben!", which translates to "Leave the Coal in the hole!".
