The huge smoke stacks of the lignite (brown coal) fueled Mae Moh power plant dominate the landscape, Mae Moh, Lampang province Thailand. Greenpeace and villagers in the district have serious complaints about the plant insisting that it causes respiratory problems and acid rain is damaging the surrounding agriculture.
