Marchon Outflow Pipe Blockade in UK
Greenpeace pipe blocking at Albright & Wilson's Marchon plant in Cumbria, NW England. On 30 August 1991, Greenpeace successfully prosecuted Albright & Wilson for polluting the Irish Sea with heavy metals in the first private prosecution under the 1989 Water Act but the National Rivers Authority has refused to take any action.
