Tsunami Disaster Relief Operation MSF in Indonesia
Trucks of humanitarian aid organised by Medecins Sans Frontieres and intended for Aceh in North Sumatra are loaded on to the Greenpeace ship, Rainbow Warrior II at Belewan, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia on route to Banda Aceh. The shipment includes food, water sanitation equipment, mosquito nets, generators, cooking fuel and MSF base camp equipment. Aceh province was one of the areas most severely affected by the December 26, 2004 earthquake when tsunami waves hit the coastal areas. Many areas remain in need of aid despite the massive international mobilisation of aid.
