Research Submarine in the Gulf of Mexico
Director of Coral Conservations at the Marine Conservation Biology Institute Dr. Sandra Brooke and Greenpeace Oceans Campaign Director John Hocevar are hoisted over the Gulf of Mexico in the Dual Deep Worker submarine, October 19, 2010. Greenpeace, partnered with teams of independent scientists, used the Arctic Sunrise tour to investigate the environmental effects of the oil spill and toxic dispersants used to break up the four million barrels of crude oil spilled in the worst environmental disaster in United States history.
