Oil from Oil Rig Disaster in Louisiana
Sand is used to cover puddled oil from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead disaster on Grand Isle State Park in Grand Isle. The oil has been reaching the Louisiana shores for weeks. The BP leased Deepwater Horizon oil platform exploded April 20 and sank after burning, leaking record amounts of crude oil from the broken pipeline into the sea.
