Police arrests activists who protest at a BP petrol station in Vienna to draw attention to the company’s irresponsible handling of the oil pest in the Gulf of Mexico. The banner reads "BP Nein Tanke", in english: "BP No thanks", and the word "thanks" is spelled in a way that it actually means "to fuel". Greenpeace also calls on car drivers to stop getting their petrol at BP-stations. 

Wien – Mit dem Slogan „BP – NEIN TANKE“ protestieren zwanzig AktivistInnen der Umweltorganisation Greenpeace heute bei der BP-Tankstelle am Schwedenplatz in Wien, um auf den unverantwortlichen Umgang mit der Ölpest im Golf von Mexiko aufmerksam zu machen. Zudem startet Greenpeace einen Aufruf an alle AutofahrerInnen, nicht mehr bei BP zu tanken – so lange das Ölloch nicht abgedichtet ist, die von der US-Regierung geforderten zwanzig Milliarden Dollar nicht auf ein Treuhandkonto überwiesen und die Tiefsee-Ölbohrungen nicht gestoppt sind. Vor Ort werden PassantInnen und AutofahrerInnen mittels Flugblättern informiert und zum Konsumverzicht bei BP aufgerufen.
