The Hong Kong registered logging ship, Fu Tian is loading four thousand cubic meters of logs bound for China, after Greenpeace activists painted 'Stop the land grab' on the hull in Pomio, East New Britain province. Local Pomio landowners are protesting against the biggest land grab in PNG history. Under a lease system called SABLs (special agricultural and business leases) forests are being destroyed and customary land is being stolen.
