Seaweed Testing along Japanese Coastline
When the tsunami hit the coast of Kesennuma on the 11th of March, arsenic which had accumulated over many years at the Otani mine, washed down and was deposited here in Motoyoshi-cho. Greenpeace is working with local fishing communities, to collect samples of marine life along the coast to record possible contamination from the crisis-stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
