Oil is seen glimmering on the water next to an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico where oil leaking from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead continues to spread. A BP leased oil platform exploded on April 20 and sank after burning. A scientist from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration had concluded that oil is leaking at the rate of 5,000 barrels a day, not 1,000 as had been estimated.
