Documentation on Drought in the Philippines
Corn destroyed after severe drought hit agricultural crops in San Isidro, Naguilian La Union, 264 Km away from Manila just before harvest time.
The mobile Water Watch station of Greenpeace found rice fields in North & Central Luzon either totally dry because of the drought brought about by the intense El Niño, or, like this one, grow stalks that would not be able to yield grain. Greenpeace is urging presidential candidates to prioritize the protection of water resources and to carry out climate vulnerabilities & hazards mapping during the first 100 days of their administration.
