Oiled Marshland in Louisiana
Oil from from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead reached the marshlands on the NE pass of the Mississippi Delta. Booms are installed in an attempt to contain the oil. The BP leased Deepwater Horizon oil platform exploded April 20 and sank after burning, leaking an estimate of more than 210,000 gallons of crude oil per day from the broken pipeline to the sea.
