Burning Oil from Oil Rig Disaster
A ship funneling some of the leaking oil from the Deepwater Horizon wellhead and flaring the collected gas. The BP leased oil platform exploded on April 20 and sank after burning, leaking an estimate of more than 210,000 gallons of crude oil per day from the broken pipeline to the sea.
