Light Painting: Nuclear Radiation Testing in Fukushima
A special light painting technique reveals radioactive contamination at the Sato family's breakwater barrier factory in Iitate. Surrounded by forest and a growing stockpile of waste from decontamination work, the property remains contaminated despite being cleaned up. Here we see radiation levels between 0.42uSv/h and 0.51uSv/h, with yellow showing spots elevated above the government decontamination target of 0.23 uSv/h, and red showing above 1uSv/h.
