Dead Hammerhead Shark in Samoa
A fishing hook is cut out of a smooth hammerhead shark (Sphyrna zygaena) before it is thrown overboard, seemingly dead, from Taiwanese longliner, Sing Man Yi 6, in the Pacific Ocean. Greenpeace travels into the Pacific to expose out of control tuna fisheries. Tuna fishing has been linked to shark finning, overfishing and human rights abuses.
