Local Thai Fishermen Choose Sustainable Fishing Practices - Web Video (ENG Subs)
In 2006, Jirasak, a local fisherman from Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Thailand, moved from traditional fishing to commercial fishing following the new practices in the fishing industry. The catch size increased at first but fish stocks were taking longer to recover. Fishermen realised that these practices were not sustainable. Since then, they joined forces with the aim to push for sustainable solutions, where the fish population does not decline over time because of overfishing.
