A farmer and Batang resident of the UKPWR (Ujungnegoro, Karanggeneng, Ponowareng, Wonokerso, and Roban) community holds a sign reading in Indonesian "Kembali kan lahan kami" (Give us back our land) during a protest in their rice farm that will be used for the Batang coal-fired power plant project, Central Java.

The construction of the mega-plant has been delayed for almost four years due to persistent and strong opposition from villagers living near the site.
