Penguin Ice Sculptures in Washington, D.C. - Clipreel
Greenpeace places a melting ice sculpture of a penguin in front of the U.S. Capitol to call on the government to create ocean sanctuaries to protect the homes of real penguins that are really disappearing.
This is part of a global day of action in which Greenpeace offices around the world are delivering ice penguins to seats of power. Visuals of these penguins melting - and our teams gathered alongside - will be used to aid our call for a new Global Ocean Treaty that will allow us to set up ocean sanctuaries in international waters.
