Swimmer in front of BP Oil Rig Holds Climate Emergency Banner- North Sea - News Access
Greenpeace campaigner Sarah North holds a banner reading "Climate Emergency" whilst floating in front of BP oil rig on day 11 of the protest in the North Sea. Soundbite by Sarah North.
The rig is the 'Paul B Loyd Jr', owned by Transocean, due to drill at the Vorlich field for new oil wells, operated by BP.
BP is the operator, Transocean the owner, the same as the Deepwater Horizon.
Greenpeace is calling on BP to halt drilling for new oil in light of the climate emergency and refocus their business on renewable energy.
