No Plastic Action in Budapest, Hungary
Greenpeace activists have installed two life-size whale sculptures (6 and 3 metres tall) surrounded by a sea of single use plastic waste in front of the Parliament of Hungary and in another square in the heart of Budapest. Greenpeace calls for strongly reducing the production and the use of single-use plastics. About 200,000 people joined the petition launched by Greenpeace Hungary to ban single-use plastic bags in the country, making it the biggest online environmental petition ever in Hungary.
The hashtags read: "#stopplastic" and "#plasticfreejuly".
