Threatened forest areas on a small island in Lammasjärvi, one of the thousands of lakes in Finland. Metsähallitus, a logging company owned by the Finnish government, has taken heavy machinery over the ice to log down three quarters of the trees on three islands. The forests are high conservation value forests critical for biodiversity - and extremely beautiful.
