Light Paintings at Dangjin Coal Power Plants in Korea - WebVideo (Korean Subs)
Greenpeace activists create light paintings in front of the Dangjin Coal-Fired Power Plants. Dangjin city already has the world's largest operating coal plants now (10 units 6,040mw). Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) and SK Gas plan to build 1,160mw of new additional coal plants next to Dangjin Coal Power Plants. Over 40% of Dangjin citizens oppose new coal plants according to the survey Greenpeace East Asia Seoul recently conducted. Dangjin local groups are preparing a people’s referendum to stop this. Dangjin citizens join the Break Free movement to stop climate change.
