Thai Communities Join Global Break Free Activities against Fossil Fuels
More than 200 people join the ordination ceremony for the woods activity at Don Kham Puang Island, Ubon Ratchathani province, Thailand to preserve the richness of the Mun River area.
As part of the global Break Free movement, local communities, Pak Mun fisherfolk, The Assembly of the Poor for Pak Mun Dam, Climate Watch Thailand, CAN Thailand and Greenpeace Southeast Asia are calling for calling for Thailand to quit dirty energy (dams) and transition to 100% renewable energy, to keep the global average temperature to less than a 1.5 degree celsius.
