Iganua in the Amazon
Iguanas and lizards are very abundant in the Amazon. The Amapá state coast, in the extreme north of Brazil, is in the crosshairs of the international oil industry. The site brings together various biomes such as tropical forests and mangroves, and an important biome still little known to science, the Barrier Reef of Foz do Amazonas, newly discovered and already threatened by oil exploration.
