The G20 Protestwelle (Protest wave) is an alliance between civil society organizations including Greenpeace, Campact, BUND, DGB Nord and Mehr Demokratie Hamburg. In the press conference the alliance announced its planned events for July 2nd, which will include a march, boat rally and banners, to raise awareness on climate and energy as well as social inequality and democracy issues.
Hamburg will host the 2017 G20 Summit on 7–8 July.
