The Esperanza is presently docked at the Freetown port after extensive patrols on the Sierra Leonian oceans.
Greenpeace Africa Executive Director, Njeri together with Ocean Campaigners welcome pupils from Eastern Municipal Primary School, Freetown. Members of local & international media later visited the ship. Both the pupils and members of the media were given a tour of the ship by volunteers, schooled on the importance of the ocean by Campaigners and the relevance & passion of Greenpeace as an Organization by Njeri.

Greenpeace Africa Executive Director, Njeri Kabeberi welcomes the Sierra Leone Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Charles Rogers on board the Esperanza.
After four (4) days of patrolling the ocean with Sierra Leonian fishery officials, Greenpeace Senior Ocean Campaigner, Pavel Klinckhamers presented findings & recommendations to Mr. Charles Rogers.
In the presence of Civil Society Leaders, Greenpeace volunteers, local and international media, Njeri and Pavel underlined the urgent plea by fisheries community to safeguard our oceans and implement sustainable fishing.
