Chinese Worker Takes a Break in his Room in West Africa
At midday Shandong Province native, Liu Zhaoquan, takes a break at Lem Seafood, a Chinese owned fish-meal factory in Nouadhibou. Liu Zhaoquan is responsible for overseeing the shipment of fish to the factory. Fish-meal is animal feed made from fish and fed to pigs, cattle and farmed fish.
A new type of Chinese overseas investment, fishmeal factory, is explored as it can be considered as a small Chinese overseas investment that may have implications for Chinese investors in Africa and Africa’s own natural resources.
