"Less Plastic, More Mediterranean" Campaign Launch on Rainbow Warrior in Valencia - News Access
On World Oceans Day Greenpeace launches a new campaign aiming for a plastic-free Mediterranean. The Rainbow Warrior starts a tour in Valencia, on the Spanish coast and will continue into Italy, Croatia and Greece. A final leg will take the ship into the Bulgarian coast of the Black Sea, a basin also impacted by plastic pollution. During the ship tour, the Rainbow Warrior will stop in several ports in each country and the team onboard will be meeting with politicians, holding open doors events for the public, and carrying out simple scientific experiments to expose plastic pollution in the Mediterranean Sea. In addition, while at sea, the ship will be conducting scientific research in collaboration with scientific institutions in each country.
