In 2019 local volunteer groups of Greenpeace Russia organized actions against the use of plastic bags near supermarkets in several Russian cities: Samara, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, Petrozavodsk.
During the action they offered people to stop using plastic bags, handed out reusable fabric bags and Greenpeace information materials about the problem of plastic pollution. Slogans of the action - "The dump begins in the supermarket", "We have no planet B".
