Seattle Shell Rig Protest
An environmental activist is pulled out of a kayak by Coast Guard officers during protests as the Shell drilling rig Polar Pioneer leaves Seattle's Elliott Bay bound for Alaska. The Polar Pioneer is one of two drilling vessels heading towards the Arctic for Shell this year. The second, the Noble Discoverer, is one of the oldest drill ships in the world.
