End of the Fossil Fuel Road 'Car Crash' in Madrid - Soundbite (English)
Soundbite in English from Raquel Montón, Mobility Campaigner at Greenpeace Spain.
Greenpeace activists stage a 'car crash' at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS) in Madrid to demand that diesel and gasoline cars be phased out within 10 years. The activists display banners reading “2028: Coches contaminantes al museo” (2028: cars contaminating the museum') and “2028 ni diesel, ni gasolina” ('2028: no diesel, no gasoline') to show that, to limit global temperature increase to 1,5ºC, combustion engines should only exist in museums as historical artefacts 10 years from now.
