In occasion of the festivities of May 25th, while the governor of Salta province Juan Manuel Urtubey attends the parade in San Lorenzo, Argentina, Greenpeace activists display a sign with the text “Urtubey: NO al Indulto #DestruirBosquesEsUnCrimen (Urtubey: No to the pardon #Destroying Forests is a Crime).
At the same time close by the parade’s venue, other activists raise a hot air balloon with the same message.
In less than 30 days the governor may declare the execution of 32 clearing permits in native forests protected by the Forest Law as legal.
