Near the village of Lescout there is a big hen factory farm, currently farming 185,000 hens. The factory farm affecting the village of Lescout is separated from some of its nearest houses on the north side by a line of trees and Le Sor, a small river. On the other side of the river, the factory farm is just a few hundred meters away. The extractor fans are located on the side of the farm facing the river and the village of Lescout. When the wind and the heat are at their strongest, the noise and the smell coming from the facility hit the whole village.
