In the rural area around Kirke Eskilstrup in the Danish countryside, the three small villages Tingerup, Bukkerup and Baarup are being hemmed in by encroaching, industrial pig farms. The harmony of hills, fields and vegetation is disrupted by these industrial factory farms. In Tingerup, two farms are located in the village, and many houses are right next to them. The inhabitants of this small town expressed during interviews with Greenpeace Nordic in Denmark frequent horrendous smell, noise and air pollution.
