Penguins arrive on an iceberg platform on the Río de la Plata in Buenos Aires to request the protection of their home, the Antarctic region. The luminous installation is launched by Greenpeace activists in Puerto Madero.
The Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR) will meet from 22 October in Hobart, Australia to decide on the creation of a protected area in Antarctica. The sanctuary covering 1.8 million km2, would be the largest protected area in the world.
