Bryozoan specimen collected in the Antarctic
Bryozoans are colonial animals that can build delicate structures that resemble those of hard corals in the tropics. This specimen was collected off Trinity Island (Antarctic Peninsula) at around 210 meters depth.
Greenpeace is conducting scientific research and documenting the Antarctic’s unique wildlife, to strengthen the proposal to create the largest protected area on the planet, an Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary.
